Library Mission Statement

The Cardington-Lincoln Public Library serves as a lending and resource center containing historical, contemporary, and technical materials to provide pleasure, information, programs, and services to satisfy and promote an interest in reading and life-long learning for all ages.

Community Survey

The Library is in the process of building a new strategic plan. A survey will be available for area residents soon. Please complete and return this survey so that your voice will be a part of setting the future direction of the Library.

Service Response:     Commons

Helping to address the need of citizens to meet and interact with others in our community and to participate in public discourse about community issues.

• Goal 1: Residents and visitors will have an inviting, functional and comfortable place in which to gather, and to pursue varied interests.
• Goal 2: Residents and visitors will have a convenient meeting space.
• Goal 3: Residents, visitors and staff will have a facility that is a safe environment wihin the community.

Service Response:     Current Topics and Titles

Helping to fulfill our residents' appetite for information about popular, cultural and social trends and their desire for satisfying recreational experiences.

• Goal 1: All residents will have access to popular materials in high interest areas and in a variety of formats for an enjoyable recreational experience.
• Goal 2: Residents and visitors in Morrow County have opportunities to attend programs on current interest topics.
• Goal 3: All residents will be informed and have easy access to information about library services.

Service Response:     Formal Learning Support

Helping all students who are enrolled in a formal program of education (at whatever level) or who are pursuing their education through a program of home schooling or who have a desire for self-directed personal growth to attain their educational goals.

• Goal 1: Cardington-Lincoln Village children will develop a love of reading and will enter school each year with the skills needed to succeed.
• Goal 2: All students will find the materials and services needed to support school assignments and standardized tests.
• Goal 3: All residents and visitors will find current technology and assistance with locating on-line information and with learning computer skills at the Cardington-Lincoln Public Library
